Privacy Policy

Scobido (“we”) provides medicine ordering and doctor consultation in Kalaburagi (Gulbarga), Karnataka, fulfilled by a licensed partner pharmacy. This policy explains how we handle your personal and health data under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP).

What we collect

• Your phone number (for OTP sign-in) and, optionally, your name.
• Delivery addresses and approximate location (to check serviceability and deliver).
• Orders, prescriptions and health records you upload, and consultation records (when you use a consult).
• Payment method and status (Cash on Delivery today; online payment when enabled).
• Limited device/usage data for reliability and fraud prevention.

Why we use it (purpose limitation)

• To fulfil and deliver your orders, and to let a registered pharmacist verify prescriptions.
• To comply with drug-dispensing, tax and telemedicine record-keeping laws.
• To provide support and prevent fraud/abuse. We do not sell your data.

Consent

We request explicit consent at the points where it matters — uploading a prescription and booking a consultation — and you can withdraw consent at any time. Browsing the store needs no account; we ask for identity only at checkout and other personal actions.

Who we share with

• The partner pharmacy, to dispense your order.
• Delivery riders, who see only what’s needed to reach you.
• A payment processor, only when you choose online payment (not for Cash on Delivery).

Health-data safeguards

• Strict per-user access control (row-level security) — you and your dependents only.
• Prescriptions and health records are private; access is via short-lived signed links.
• Encrypted in transit; health data is never written to application logs.

How long we keep it (retention)

On an erasure request we delete your personal data and purge your prescription/health files. Certain records the law requires us to keep are retained without identifying you for their statutory period: dispensing records (Drugs & Cosmetics Rules), tax invoices (GST/Income-Tax), and teleconsultation records (Telemedicine Guidelines 2020). They are de-identified after deletion.

Your rights (DPDP)

• Access and correct your data.
• Erase your account and data — request deletion here (30-day grace; cancellable).
• Withdraw consent, and raise grievances with our Officer below.
